For the Lasagna
In a large 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and cook onions until translucent.
Brown meat, breaking it up as it cooks, until there are no pink spots.
Add garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. Stir and let flavors combine for 5 minutes, as the mixture boils.
Spoon 1/4 of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the insert of a slow cooker.
Sprinkle some spinach on top. Layer lasagna noodles, breaking them up as needed so they fit in a single layer.
Repeat three more times, until lasagna is assembled.
Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Garnish with fresh basil.

Question slow cooker meat and lasagna No water?
Question slow cooker meat and lasagna No water?
According to the recipe, it seems that no water is needed. That the lasagna will cook by being in the crockpot and being surrounded by tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
Prepare ahead of time? Hello.
Can this be prepared ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator overnight, and then put into the crock pot 4 hours before meal-time?
Thank you so much.
