Hi Peri,
So awesome! We are glad that you and your family enjoyed this delicious dish – even without the imitation cheese!

OMG this dinner was just out of this world!! We loved every single thing about it! The burgers were soo juicy, the sauce was just amazing and the best part was that it was sooo easy, I couldn’t get over that! All my kids loved it and asked me to make it again! Thanks Rena for these great recipes! Please keep them coming!!
As an avid kosher.com fan, I learnt long ago that everyone is coming from different places and halachic standpoints. Its hard when people post comments about halacha it makes you panic thinking you missed something… only to be clarified by your Rav that you are correct. Lets enjoy the shows and leave the halachic aspects to each individuals discretions.
And BTW its not so black and white. I know personally many Rabbanim who are more than ok with fake cheese and milks due to it not being maaras eyin because it is well known the other options.
But again. ask.
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that it’s not okay to use fake cheese on meat. I tried making this supper but I mistakenly put dairy cheese on it. I made my oven treif and it had to be put on self clean to kasher it. Since the cheese and meat was only in the oven for 45 seconds before I realized, the Rav said that self clean was okay. If it would’ve been in there for longer I would have to get my oven blowtorched by a professional. I just want to make people aware than many Rabbanim hold that it’s not allowed.
can i use dairy cheese
no 🙂 it wouldn’t be kosher then!
Can you please share a brand of non-dairy cheese that you like?
Try violife or daiya!
If you are in Israel I like the mashumashu brand classic sliced vegan cheese
