Ingredients

Whole Wheat Brownies

  • 3/4 C canola or avocado oil

  • 1 C sugar

  • 1/2 C confectionery sugar, sifted if lumpy

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3/4 C whole wheat flour

  • 3/4 C cocoa powder, sifted if lumpy

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 C chocolate chips, preferably mini

Adjust rack to middle of oven and preheat to 350.

Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper or foil.

3.

In a mixing bowl, mix oil, sugars, eggs and vanilla til combined.

4.

Stir in flour, cocoa and salt until a smooth batter forms.

5.

Fold in chocolate chips.

6.

Pour batter into pan and bake for 28-30 minutes or until a tooth pick in middle comes out clean.

7.

Do not overbake!

Cool completely before cutting and serving

(needed more baking time. also lowered the sugar slightly)
