Every pool party (and time spent with the girls) needs a refreshing cocktail. This watermelon margarita is exactly what you’ve been looking for. Cheers to a day off!   You can use coarse sea salt in place of the chili-lime salt. If you are using the chili lime salt, remember that it’s strong, so use sparingly!

Ingredients

Watermelon Margarita

  • about 1/8 watermelon (to yield 2 and 1/2 cups watermelon juice)

  • 1/2 cup tequila

  • 1 tablespoon curaçao (orange liqueur)

  • 4 tablespoons Heaven & Earth Lime Juice

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • chili-lime salt, for garnish

  • lime slice, for garnish

Directions

Prepare the Watermelon Margarita

1.

Pour chili-lime salt on a plate.

2.

Rub lime on the edge of a glass. Dip the edges of the glass into the chili-lime salt.

3.

Blend the watermelon in a blender. Strain the watermelon juice through a strainer.

4.

Combine the juice with tequila, curaçao, lime juice, and sugar.

5.

Pour cocktail into the glasses. Garnish with lime wedge.
