Ingredients

Turkey Loaf

  • 1 pound raw ground turkey

  • 1/2 onion, diced

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • egg

Gravy

  • 1 and 1/2 cups water

  • salt and pepper

Directions

Prepare the Turkey Loaf

1.

Heat oil in small pan. Add onions and sauté until lightly brown.

2.

Put turkey, matzah meal and spices in greased foil loaf pan. Mix well, add onions with the oil. Pat down.

3.

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit about 45 minutes. Meanwhile make the gravy.

Prepare the Gravy

1.

Heat oil, add onions and mushrooms. Sauté until soft.

2.

Stir starch into cold water and add to onion mixture. Heat, stirring well until it thickens. Season to taste.

3.

Serve hot over sliced turkey loaf.

This looks nothing like the picture – and with good reason. The picture is a stock photo that you can find on other recipes online, including on some very trayfe sites such as this one:https://www.730sagestreet.com/smoker-meatloaf-recipes/
This recipe has a mushroom gravy which is not shown in the picture. What horribly dishonest marketing.
