There’s nothing quite like coming home on a winter day at four o’clock when the sun has almost set and the smell of dinner is wafting through the house. These braised turkey legs will deliver just that. Put them up in the morning and forget about them!
1 onion, peeled and quartered
3 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
3 stalks celery, cut into pieces
2 potatoes, cut into large chunks
4 turkey legs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Pereg Paprika
1 teaspoon Gefen Salt
1 teaspoon Gefen Parsley Flakes
water or broth to cover
On the bottom of a slow cooker, place onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes. Lay turkey legs on top of vegetables and season with spices. Cover with broth or water and cook on low for five to eight hours.
