This hybrid sweet potato-savory cheese latke is highly satisfying, perfect for your Chanukah celebration.
Serve 2 per person
1 large sweet potato
1 egg
1/2 cup grated light cheddar cheese
pinch of Gefen Salt
pinch of Pereg Pepper
oil, for frying
1 tablespoon Glicks Flour or ground flax seed, as binder
Grate the sweet potato into a bowl and mix it with cheddar cheese, egg, and flour or flax seed.
Place one-fourth cup oil in the frying pan and cook for three minutes on each side or until golden brown.
