The buttery crust of this dough combined with the moist nutty topping are the perfect combination! The result is a soft nutty bar that is the perfect snack for adults and kids alike.
6 ounces margarine
2 cups flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 eggs plus 1 egg white
2 and 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 and 1/2 cups ground coconut
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
Combine ingredients for dough, mixing to form a crumbly dough.
Press into a nine- by 13-inch pan.
Combine ingredients for topping, mixing well. Spread over dough.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Cool and cut into half-inch bars.
