Strawberry Shortcake Cheese Waffles

Ingredients

Waffles

  • 1 box frozen waffles

  • 1 sleeve Graham crackers (finely crushed)

Strawberry Sauce

  • 1 (1 pound) pack frozen strawberries

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar

  • 1 tablespoon fruit liquor (optional)

Cheesecake Mixture

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1/2 container whipped cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup confection sugar, such as Gefen

Directions

For the Strawberry Sauce

1.

Melt all ingredients besides the cornstarch in a pot. Cook for five to seven minutes.

Add the cornstarch and mix well. Allow to cool.

For the Cheesecake Mixture

1.

In a mixer, whip the heavy cream. When peaks start forming, add the rest of the ingredients and mix just enough to combine well. Refrigerate.

To Combine

Bake the waffles on 400 degrees Fahrenheit until crispy. Top with the cheesecake mixture and pour over the strawberry sauce.

2.

Sprinkle some crushed Graham crackers and enjoy.

Tips:

Plan ahead for a melave malka: All components can be made before Shabbos. Bake the waffles and assemble right before serving.
