No matter which way you make it, Apple Crisp is always a favorite at Shabbos and Yom Tov meals. This version doesn’t disappoint! The addition of walnuts adds extra crunch and dimension. Not only is this a beautiful side dish, it tastes amazing as well. Try it, you won’t be sorry!
10 medium apples
1 cup Mishpacha Flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup quick oats
1/4 pound margarine, softened
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon
Peel apples and slice thinly.
Combine all ingredients, mix to form loose crumbly mixture. Place three fourths of the mixture into a nine- x 13-inch pan.
Arrange apple slices over crumbs and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
