A Fralichen Purim!!!!!! This Purim I am going to show you two super, kid-friendly recipes that both are going to be guaranteed a winner at your Purim meal, or for your kids to enjoy. You are welcome!!!!
1 pack of puff pastry
ready made schnitzel (store bought or homemade- I used homemade)
cut pastrami or beef fry
duck sauce
2 eggs for egg wash
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
1/8 cup of bbq sauce
2-3 tablespoons of sriracha or hot sauce
1-2 garlic cubes
pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take one piece of puff pastry. Spread two to three spoonfuls of duck sauce on the bottom of the piece of pastry. Then lay one piece of schnitzel on top of the duck sauce, then one piece of pastrami on top of the piece of schnitzel. Then cover with another piece of puff pastry.
Crimp all the edges. Egg wash it.
Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl whisk together the mayo, sriracha, bbq sauce, garlic cubes, and salt until combined and smooth.
Once the pockets are done, let cool. Serve with the sauce. Enjoy !!!!
