This sweet and savory appetizer is a feast for the eyes, and with Gefen Beets and date syrup, perfect for Rosh Hashanah. It can be assembled fresh on Yom Tov.
1/2 pound sushi grade salmon, thinly sliced
1/4 cup Gefen Olive Oil
7 ounces silan, such as Heaven & Earth Date Syrup
1 package Gefen Beets, thinly sliced
handful of thyme
handful of quartered figs
2 oranges, 1 sliced
salt
black pepper
pomegranate, for garnish
Place salmon in a bowl and drizzle olive oil over. Squeeze juice of one orange onto salmon.
Add thyme, figs, and one sliced orange to bowl. Add Gefen Beets.
Drizzle silan on salmon and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
