Directions

Prepare the Rice and Chickpeas

1.

Pour oil into a medium-sized pot. Add onions and sauté for three minutes. Add garlic and chickpeas and sauté for an additional five minutes. Add water, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.

2.

Add rice and mix. Cover pot and reduce fire to low. Simmer for about 30 minutes, or until water is evaporated.
