For years, I’ve been toasting a package of ramen noodles for the cabbage salad recipe make all the time. Suddenly it hit me how easy it would be to add spices and different flavors to it!

Crack the ramen noodles, leaving as many big chunks as possible. Toast with tsp oil (or spray with cooking spray) and sprinkle with seasonings of your choice. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.

Good Garlic: Salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic. • Some Like It Spicy: Chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and a pinch of brown sugar.
