Diets Decadent, delicious, and incredibly easy!
1 raw challah, thawed
1/2 cup Nutella
1/2 cup cream cheese
1–2 teaspoons Gefen Vanilla
1/2 cup hazelnuts (toasted and skins removed), optional
1 tablespoon butter, softened
Turbinado sugar, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
When challah is thawed, unbraid strands of challah. Lay strands next to each other (so they’re touching) and roll out as flat as you can. Let sit for an hour or so, covered.
Mix together Nutella, cream cheese and vanilla. Spread onto dough. Sprinkle with hazelnuts. Roll up to form a long log. Use your hands to gently pull the log apart even more. Slice the log in half so that you have two skinnier logs. Roll logs together and place in buttered loaf pan.
Coat babka with butter and sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake for about 30 minutes, until lightly browned.
Serves: 10 slices
