Who doesn’t like a good creamy pasta dish? In this simple dish, you get the best of both worlds; the sauce has the creaminess and flavor of a real milchig cream sauce, but it’s actually pareve! Add the protein of your choice for a complete one-dish meal.
2 cups salted and roasted cashews
1 and 1/2 cups parve chicken flavored broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Gefen Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Gefen Garlic Powder
1 package Tuscanini Fusilli Pasta or other pasta (I used rotini), cooked according to package directions
protein of choice (optional)
Place cashews in a bowl and cover with water. Let soak for two to three hours.
Drain cashews and place in the bowl of a food processor with the chicken broth, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Using the “S” blade, blend the cashew mixture until it is very smooth.
Toss pasta with sauce. Add protein of your choice, such as cooked chicken (shredded or strips) or shredded meat.
