This is an absolute dinner staple in our house. It’s super simple to make, only uses a single pan, and tastes absolutely delicious! Pair it with a green salad and you’re good to go!
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 lbs. ground beef
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
3 cloves garlic
16 oz. box of pasta (spaghetti is in the name, but we usually use Rotini!)
15 oz. can of Hunt’s Tomato Sauce (store brands are just not the same!)
3/4 can of water
1-2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
Heat olive oil over medium high heat in a large skillet.
Add ground beef, mushroom and garlic. Cook, tossing occasionally until beef is browned and broken into small chunks, and mushrooms have lost some of their water.
Add the pasta, tomato sauce and water. Stir in until mixed.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, and sprinkle in Italian seasoning.
Cover pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until all liquid is absorbed and pasta is cooked al dente.
