This simple, moist nut torte is a basic cake that can be topped with a creamy frosting, a rich ganache, or left plain. Either way you serve it, it will look beautiful and taste great.
7 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup ground walnuts
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla Sugar
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon liquor or 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon Haddar Baking Powder
Beat egg whites, gradually adding sugar until stiff. Lower speed and add yolks, nuts, vanilla sugar, lemon and flavoring.
Fold in flour and baking powder.
Pour into greased nine-inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
