Since I tasted this recipe, I knew the day would come that I would print it in the magazine! It’s so similar to Nature Valley bars, it’s scary. Quick, easy, not-so-unhealthy, and simply delicious!

Ingredients

Main ingredients

Directions

Prepare Granola

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).

2.

Mix together the oil, honey, and sugar with a fork, mixing vigorously.

3.

Add the eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon and continue to mix.

4.

Add the flour and oats and gently combine.

5.

Press into a 9×13-inch baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.

6.

Slice into squares when cool.

Tips:

If you’d like, put in a dollop of peanut butter for extra protein points, and of course flavor! To make these more appealing for kids, add in chocolate chips or dried cranberries.

These are so good, I just made them and already had 4 bars 🙊. Can’t wait to have a breakfast go-to.

Correct recipe for ‘No-Mixer Granola Bars’ I had clipped this recipe from the Family First, and – you’re right – it does not need the eggs! Below find the (original?) recipe which is a hit every time – a family-friend pays me each time I send them some!
2/3 cup oil
2/3 cup honey
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
4 1/2 cups oats (I recommend 3 cups instead)
1 cup (approx.) chocolate chips.

(Method is the same)

Enjoy!!

Granola bars I made the granola bars , but the outcome did not come out crunchy and crumbly style. It was more of a thick consistency. O feel like I shouldn’t have put in the Hess. Was putting in the eggs a mistake?

This was great! It had more of a cake texture but we enjoyed it anyway
