Everyone needs a good homemade ice cream recipe. In this recipe, the creamy texture of the whipped eggs provides a luxurious base for the refreshing fruity flavors to shine through.
6 eggs, separated
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 and 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup oil, such as Gefen Cottonseed Oil
Beat eggs whites until stiff.
Blend strawberries.
Bring to boil strawberries with sugar and orange juice. Cool and blend again.
Mix eggs yolks and oil.
Add strawberry mixture and mix.
Gently fold in whites. Freeze.
