Don’t want to use the grill? Try these easy stovetop steak bites which come together very quickly. Can be served over rice, in a pita (year-round), over a salad, or as is.
3 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil, plus additional for frying
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 and 1/4 teaspoons oregano
3 cloves garlic, minced or 3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
2 teaspoons Heaven & Earth Lemon Juice
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 and 1/2 pounds steak (sandwich steak, minute steak, or your favorite steak), cubed
1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
1 cucumber
1 cup Gefen Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon dried dill, such as Gefen
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
In a medium bowl, combine oil, thyme, rosemary, oregano, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. And cubed steak and toss to coat.
Marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably several hours or overnight.
Pour a little olive oil in a nonstick skillet to coat and heat on medium heat. Add steak and cook for two to three minutes per side for medium; for well done, cook for an extra minute or so.
Remove skillet from stove. Add tomatoes.
Place all sauce ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until combined. Serve over meat.
