These sticky poppers are made by preparing a homemade maple bourbon sauce and then topping the fried chicken with Sweet and Spicy Candied Popcorn. They are sweet, savory and oh-so delicious! 1 pound chicken cutlets, cut into cubes or slices
1 teaspoon paprika
sprinkle of garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
3 to 4 eggs, beaten
oil, for frying
1/3 cup bourbon
1/4 cup Gefen Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Heaven and Earth Lemon Juice
1 tablespoon paprika
4 cups popped popcorn
drizzle of Gefen Maple Syrup
sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Heat a medium saucepan halfway full with oil.
Combine flour and spices in a shallow plate. Place beaten eggs in a second plate. Dip chicken pieces into flour, then, eggs, then flour again.
Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken. When golden, remove to a paper-towel-lined plate.
In a pot, over medium flame, mix all ingredients well and heat until it bubbles. Pour over fried chicken.
Combine popcorn with maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Serve with Maple Bourbon Chicken Poppers.
