Here’s a new “spin” on the old classic. A fun snack for your Chanukah party that adds to the décor.
Submitted by Naomi Dachs
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 stick margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
9 cups Chex cereal
1 and 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 cup white chocolate pretzels
1 cup blue and white chocolate lentils
In a saucepan over medium low heat, pour in chocolate chips, peanut butter, and margarine. Stir constantly (so the chocolate doesn’t burn) till fully melted into a smooth consistency. Add vanilla and give another stir. Turn off flame.
In a separate large bowl add nine cups of Chex cereal. Then pour chocolate mixture over cereal. Mix gently to fully coat cereal.
Pour coated Chex into a two-gallon ziplock bag. Add confectioners sugar. Shake bag till fully coated in a white winter wonderland.
Add white chocolate pretzels and blue and white lentils. Give it another shake.
Pour into a dish and enjoy.
