Cooking for a crowd? This is a great recipe to serve at a brunch or Melavah Malka. The glasses can be prepared in advance, only adding the hot mocha drink right before serving. Sweet and chocolaty with a hint of a chocolate liqueur flavor, your guests will be begging for this recipe!
Yields 60 4-ounce servings
4 quarts water, boiled
1 cup instant coffee granules
3/4 cup chocolate liqueur such as Binyamina
3/4 cup Heaven & Earth Chocolate Syrup
2 quarts milk
3 (10-ounce) containers whipping cream, beaten, or 5 (6-ounce) containers ready whipped cream
3 (3-and-1/2-ounce) bars chocolate
(pasteurized) egg whites, beaten
sugar
Dip the rims in beaten egg whites and then in sugar. Allow to dry for at least one hour.
Dissolve coffee in boiling water. Add liqueur and chocolate syrup, mixing well. Add milk.
Pour into cups. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
