This is my grandma’s recipe, and she calls it a “basic” cake because anything can be added to it. I love it because it’s an easy, one-bowl recipe! Use whatever apples you’ve got on hand – this cake is super flexible. Yields a nine- x 13-inch pan or two 9-inch round pans. 4 eggs
1 cup oil
1 cup orange juice
1 to 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla
3 cups Mishpacha Flour
6 cups diced apples
1 tablespoon Gefen Cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a nine- x 13-inch pan or two 9-inch round pans.
In a large bowl, mix the wet ingredients.
Add in the dry ingredients. Stir until no flour is left showing. Mix in apples and cinnamon.
Pour into the prepared pan/s. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
