A yummy cookie-type granola bar.
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick cooking oats
3/4 cup parve butter
1 and 1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2/3 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl, mix together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and oats.
In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add molasses, followed by the dry mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Cool slightly, then cut into rectangles.
Yields 20 pieces
