Every time I make quiche, I’m nervous that my family won’t eat it. And every time, my kids say, “Yum! Ma, how come you don’t make this more often?”   Yield: 2 quiches (approximately 16 slices)

Ingredients

Faigy’s Broccoli Quiche

Directions

Prepare Faigy’s Broccoli Quiche

1.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

In a food processor fitted with the S-blade, blend together the broccoli, seasonings, eggs, and mayonnaise. Fold in the cheese.

3.

Roll out the dough into two circles. Place in nine- or 10-inch round pans or oven-to-table dishes.

4.

Top with the broccoli mixture.

5.

Bake for 35–40 minutes or until tops are brown.

Tips:

These freeze amazingly.

Notes:

This recipe also works well with frozen pizza dough or dough purchased in a pizza shop.

Does the onion get blended raw with the rest of the ingredients?

Can this recipe be made parve, without cheese? Can a pre-made, frozen pie shell be used?

Yes to the pre made shell, but the cheese does add a lot of flavor, so we wouldn’t skip it in this recipe.

This was easy but rather bland. It needs more cheese and spice.

Do you drain all the water out of the bag of defrosted broccoli? Or do you blend it together with the other ingredients?
