Making a gourmet pizza is somehow so much easier in the pizza maker! The sautéed mushroom and shallot topping makes each bite of this delicious white pizza pure goodness.
1 shallot, sliced
2 cubes Gefen Frozen Crushed Garlic
4 and 1/2 tablespoons oil, divided
5 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
5 ounces white mushrooms, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/2 pound pizza dough
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Parsley Flakes
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Basil
8 teaspoons ricotta cheese
1 and 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
Combine shallot and garlic in the pizza maker with two and a half tablespoons oil and sauté for one minute until fragrant. Add sliced mushrooms and a quarter teaspoon salt, and continue sauteing until mushrooms brown. Alternatively, sauté in a skillet if not using a pizza maker. Remove mushrooms and shallots and set aside. Once the pizza maker has cooled, use a paper towel to wipe it clean.
Roll dough into a 12-inch circle and place into cold pizza maker. Mix the remaining two tablespoons oil, rosemary, parsley, basil, and remaining quarter teaspoon salt and spread over dough.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then spoon ricotta over it. Top with mushrooms and shallots. Plug in pizza maker and cook approximately 10 minutes (or 20 minutes in 350-degree-Fahrenheit oven), until crust is brown and cheese is bubbly.
