These delicious fluffy pancakes are super easy to fry up for breakfast (or breakfast for supper!). A great basic recipe to dress up with your favorite add-ins like diced bananas, blueberries, or shaved chocolate. For another variation, try this simple pancake recipe by Draizy Wercberger.
1 and 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
Mix first five ingredients until smooth. Add milk and mix well.
Drop by tablespoon into greased, hot skillet.
Fry over medium heat until golden on both sides.
Serve with sour cream and/or jam.

can i put water instead of milk for milk allergies? i cant use almond milk as milk as well. i dont want to use soymilk it might make the taste a bit different. my kids wont eat it. will water make it too watery and tasteless? do i add more sugar ?
Hi Tamar,
Thanks for reaching out with this important Q!
When substituting milk, it may lessen the creaminess, so I would either substitute with cashew milk or if you are going with water, I would add some more sugar like you suggested. With baking it’s hard to know until you try, but I think these options will get you started in a good place.
All the best,

A dash of vanilla adds so much! Glad you enjoyed 🙂
Just tried these pancakes and they were a hit!! (I left out the salt and they tasted so good)
Question: Can I add some baking powder to make the pancakes more fluffy?
Great to know, thanks!

This was easy and delicious
Hi, if I just want to make this recipe to serve one, how do I go about reducing the recipe? I guess I can’t do less than one egg…
Cld i use this for a waffle recipe as well?
Hi, from my understanding waffle batters have a little more fat and sugar than pancake batters. You could try it, but not sure exactly how it will come out.
Put chocolate chips in it. IT SLAPS!!
Amazing recipe- very adaptable I made these pancakes with 80% whole wheat flour and almond milk- they came out fluffy and delicious and tasted dairy.
And they’re super easy!
super easy and delicious
