This easy one-pan Chinese Chicken with broccoli, peppers, and onions tastes just like the real thing. Great choice for a midweek dinner that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

Chicken and Vegetables

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 5 very thin chicken cutlets, cut into strips

  • 1 red pepper (or any color you have on hand), cut into strips

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (less or more depending on how sweet you like)

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1/2 cup teriyaki pomegranate sauce

Directions

Prepare the Chinese Chicken

1.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Coat the chicken strips with flour and place in the bottom of an oven-to-table pan.

3.

Combine all sauce ingredients. Pour over chicken – don’t mix the sauce into the chicken.

4.

Cover tightly and place the oven for 30 minutes. Then add the vegetables on top and place back into oven uncovered for an additional 15 minutes. Best served with rice.

Notes:

The chicken will not come out as well if cooked in a disposable pan, and please allow longer cooking time. You can double the sauce recipe if needed.

Ingredients Looks easy and delicious! What is teriyaki pomegranate sauce? I haven’t seen it anywhere. Which brand makes it?

You can make a homemade sauce https://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/pomegranate-teriyaki-sauce-227112 or I know that Oxygen sells a pre-made sauce.

This has become a favorite family dinner that everyone enjoys! There are never any leftovers.
I use any vegetables I have on hand – carrots, squash, mushrooms, etc. I make it in a disposable 9×13 and use soy sauce instead of the teriyaki pomegranate sauce. I also omit the brown sugar and don’t find that it lacks flavor or sweetness.

Yum and Easy really good! i made in a disposable pan with red onions, peppers, and julienned zucchini. i would cook the veggies for a bit longer, though.

Very good Used regular teriyaki, 9×13 foil pan, and frozen peas instead of broccoli – very good!

Sublime I added yellow squash and mushrooms besides the broccoli, peppers and onions… a very tasty combination!
I baked it in a 9×13 disposable pan and the chicken turned out deliciously soft…
I also used regular teriyaki–perfectly good.
