This dish takes less than ten minutes to put together, and the result is a hearty meal that your family will love — especially that buttery-soft meat!
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 orange bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 red onion, cut into half-moons
2 teaspoons Haddar Kosher Salt
2 teaspoons Gefen Garlic Powder
2 teaspoons Pereg Cumin
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 (1-pound) pieces beef kolichel
1 cup salsa
2 tablespoons lemon OR lime juice
2 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil
2 cloves garlic, minced or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
cooked rice OR taco shells
avocado
fresh limes
Place peppers and onion into slow cooker. Cut meat into large chunks.
In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, and sugar. Rub spice mixture over all sides of the meat pieces, then place meat into slow cooker on the vegetables. Add any remaining spice mixture to slow cooker over meat.
In a small bowl, whisk together salsa, lemon juice, oil, and garlic. Pour over meat and vegetables.
Cook on high for four to five hours or on low for six to eight hours.
Serve meat with the vegetables and sauce over rice or in a taco, with avocado and fresh lime (if using).
