You can substitute the white flour with any flour you choose, but to get perfect crackers you must roll out the dough thinly. Yields: about 60 pieces

Ingredients

Dough

Coating

  • beaten egg, for brushing

  • black sesame seeds

  • white sesame seeds, such as Gefen

  • coarse salt

Directions

1.

Mix all the dough ingredients to create a soft batter. Divide it into four parts.

2.

Roll each piece into a thin sheet between two sheets of Gefen Parchment Paper.

3.

Remove the top sheet. With a sharp knife or pizza roller, cut the dough into squares or rectangles, and place them on a lined baking sheet.

4.

Brush the dough with egg and sprinkle with the sesame seeds and coarse salt.

5.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 minutes, or until nicely browned.

6.

Refrigerate in an airtight container.

I would guess mezonot if you’re having them as a snack. Best to ask your Rabbi 🙂
