What a beautiful way to serve fettuccine. Chock-full of flavor, this dish will have you gathering compliments.
16 ounces (450 grams) Tuscanini Fettucine, cooked al dente
1/4 cup (50 grams) butter
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced, or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, cut into strips
2 tablespoons flour
salt and pepper, to taste
pinch of nutmeg (optional)
1 and 1/3 cups water
1 cup milk
6 ounces (about 3/4 cup) sour cream
basil leaves
Melt butter in a saucepan and add onion and garlic. Sauté until golden.
Add tomato strips and cook for five minutes.
Add flour and mix well.
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and then add water and milk.
Stir mixture until smooth. Bring to a boil, lower flame, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add sour cream and remove from flame.
Transfer pasta to a serving dish and pour sauce on top.
Garnish with basil leaves.
