This is the easiest hot cocoa you’ll ever make! And it’s such a welcome change. We’re very into hot drinks in our house (I really need to get more mugs). And although we keep coffee for the mornings and drink tea like it’s water (well, technically), hot cocoa is always a welcome treat on a cold night. This one will make both vanilla and chocolate fans happy.
Yield: 1 serving; double as needed
2 chocolate sandwich cookies
1 cup whole milk
whipped cream and crushed cookies (optional)
Remove the filling from the cookies.
Place cookies into a small pot. Pour milk over them. Cook, over medium-low heat, for five minutes, stirring occasionally, until cookies dissolve. Mix to combine. Whisk the cream back in for additional sweetness.
Top with whipped cream and additional crushed cookies.
