When I got this recipe from a friend, she told me this is Cinnabon’s secret recipe. I never actually verified that, but they taste so good that I believe it must be!
1/4 ounce (1 square packet) dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
4 cups Mishpacha Flour
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 and 1/2 tablespoons Gefen Cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 and 1/2 cups Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
Dissolve yeast in milk. Add sugar, butter, salt and eggs. Add flour and mix well.
Knead dough, then cover and let rise for one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Roll out dough into a rectangle, then spread butter over dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll up and cut into one-inch slices. Place onto cookie sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
Bake for 14 minutes. Coat with icing while rolls are still warm.
