Who would have thought you could make a cinnamon bun in a mug? This recipe is amazing for single servings or for when you’re craving a cinnamon bun and don’t have the energy to wait for dough to rise and roll out a whole batch. It’s unbelievable how good and authentic it is.
1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
1/2 cup Glicks Flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon Haddar Brown Sugar (or white sugar)
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon
1/4 cup powdered sugar, such as Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
1/2 tablespoon milk
1/4 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla
In a bowl, combine melted butter, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and milk. The dough will be shaggy. Bring it together with your hands.
Roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
In a small bowl, combine one tablespoon butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread over dough.
Cut dough into three strips with a knife or pizza cutter.
Roll up middle strip.
Match up cut edges and roll up the other two strips into one cinnamon roll.
Place in a greased mug.
Combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla for glaze and set aside.
Cook the bun in a microwave for 90 seconds. If it seems undercooked, cook for 10 additional seconds.
Drizzle roll with glaze and enjoy warm.

I tried to make this and the dough was so sticky – and I added at least another 1/4 of flour. I couldn’t work with it and ended up throwing it out. What am I doing wrong?
