Chocolate Granola Snack Bars

Ingredients

Granola Bars

  • 4 and 1/2 cups (quick cooking or whole) oats

  • 4 and 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or Just Right cereal)

  • 2 tablespoons wheat or oat bran

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 (10-ounce) bag mini chocolate chips

  • 1/3 cup oil

  • 1/3 cup melted butter, or additional oil

  • 1 cup honey

Directions

1.

Mix dry ingredients very well.

Add oil, butter, and honey. Mix until well combined.

Lay flat onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Press all over with the back of a spoon to even out the layer.

4.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 18 minutes. (Shorter for chewier, more crumbly bars; longer for crunchier, firmer bars.)
