Ingredients

Salmon

  • 6 salmon fillets

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

  • 2 tablespoons scallions, chopped

Special Equipment

  • Cedar sheets

  • Kitchen twine

Directions

Marinate

1.

Combine garlic, soy sauce, ginger, parsley and oil in a large plastic ziplock bag or shallow glass baking dish (Never marinate fish in an aluminum pan).

2.

Stir to combine. Add salmon to marinade. Marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes, turning once after 15 minutes.

3.

Soak cedar sheets in water as directed. Drain.

Prepare the Salmon

1.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Remove salmon from marinade and discard the marinade. Place each salmon fillet skin-side down on a cedar sheet. Fold the sides of the sheet over the fillet and tie with kitchen twine or a strip of scallion.

3.

Bake salmon for 20 minutes, until fillets are opaque and just slightly pink in the center.

4.

Open packet and sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.

5.

Serve hot or at room temperature.
