This impressive loaf is light, soft, buttery, and so, so delicious! Serve it warm out of the oven or at room temperature. For even more heavenly results, add more melted butter on top after baking. Yields: 2 loaf pans

Ingredients

Buttery Pull Apart Bread

  • 4 and 3/4 teaspoons Gefen Yeast

  • 2/3 cup warm water

  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1  and 1/2 tablespoons Gefen Honey

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 egg

  • 4 and 3/4 cups Glicks Flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1  stick butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons parsley

  • 1  teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

1.

Combine the water, yeast, and sugar, and mix. Let it rest for five to 10 minutes.

2.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well until everything is incorporated.

3.

Allow the mixture to rise for half an hour.

4.

To make the butter flavor, combine a stick of butter, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, and salt in a small bowl.

5.

Cut the dough into four equal pieces.

6.

Working with one dough at a time, roll it into a large rectangle.

7.

Spread 1/4 of the butter mixture over the dough, cut it into 12 squares, stack all 12 squares one on top of each other, and repeat with the remaining three pieces of dough.

8.

Arrange the stacks in a greased loaf pan, standing upwards (gaps between dough squares are okay as they will expand while baking).

9.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
