2 bunches beets, peeled and sliced
bones of 2 chickens, legs, wings and breast bones
3 quarts water
3 cloves garlic, crushed or 3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic (optional)
juice of 1 lemon (or about 3 tablespoons Heaven & Earth Lemon Juice)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
In six quart pot, cook beets and chicken bones in water for two hours or until beets are tender.
Add remaining ingredients and cook for additional 15 minutes.
