What would a dorm room article be without a ramen recipe?? This vegetarian recipe is so comforting and really kicks ramen up a notch. Feel free to add your favorite cooked protein to it to really round out the meal.
In this article, I shared some really delicious and comforting meals you can make using only one appliance to cook and heat like a microwave or Betty Crocker Pizza Maker. Directions for each appliance are included below.
2 cups store-bought stir fry veggies blend
2 packages Gefen Ramen Noodles
Gefen Sesame Seeds, for garnish
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce, such as Glicks
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cube Gefen Frozen Crushed Garlic
1 tablespoon Gefen Honey (optional, for a sweeter variation)
Put two cups of water in a microwave-safe bowl, making sure the ramen is fully submerged.
Microwave five to seven minutes.
Strain the water and set the noodles aside in a new bowl.
In the microwave-safe bowl, microwave the veggies on high for four to five minutes.
Transfer the cooked veggies to the same bowl as the noodles.
Whisk sauce ingredients together.
Heat in the microwave for two to three minutes, or until thickened.
Toss with cooked noodles and veggies.
Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
Start by whisking together the sauce and set aside.
Heat up the Betty and spray with cooking oil.
Add the veggies and cook for five minutes, covered, opening and stirring one to two times during cooking.
Remove the veggies from the Betty. Add two cups of water and the ramen noodles, breaking up as many of the noodles as you can into the water.
Cover the Betty and cook for two minutes.
Stir and cover and cook for an additional one to two minutes until all or most of the water is absorbed and the noodles are cooked.
Pour the sauce in with the noodles and cover and cook for one to two minutes until thickened.
Add in the veggies and toss together in the Betty.
Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

How could we adjust this to use a regular box of pasta for a family?
One box of spaghetti would be about equal to 2 packages of ramen. The serving size for this recipe is 2-4, so I’d use 2 boxes of spaghetti. Does that answer your question?
Well a package of gefen ramen is 3 ounces and a box of spaghetti is 16. So 1 box spaghetti is more than 5 times the amount of pasta. I’m not sure the sauce should be x5 as well?
