While beef fry and salad seem like food opposites, this is perfect for when you want a little “sometimes” food to make things interesting. Alternative recipe title: “Salad Boys Will Eat.”
2 (6-oz./170-g.) packages beef fry
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons black pepper
12 ounces (340 grams) kale, checked
nish nosh dressing, to taste
tomatoes, as desired
cucumbers, as desired
avocado, as desired
sautéed mushrooms, as desired
thinly sliced red onion, as desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Line two baking sheets with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Lay the beef fry on the baking sheets and sprinkle with brown sugar and black pepper. Bake for 15 minutes or until deep brown. Let cool and break into pieces. (It will be super fatty — don’t think about it too much.)
Dress the kale and add beef fry and other veggies, if desired.

Way too unhealthy. Heart attack recipe.
What is nish nosh dressing?
Nish Nosh salad dressing is a combination of mayonnaise, oil, soy sauce, sugar, salt, pepper. The company Salad Mate makes a really yummy Nish Nosh salad dessing in a black squeeze bottle. It’s usually sold in the refrigerator section of the produce area of most Kosher supermarkets.
