Baked Apples with Apricot Crumble Topping

Impress your newlywed or guests. Add something exciting to your basic dinner or Shabbos menu. Serve with vanilla ice cream and you will have a perfect yummy dessert.

Ingredients

Baked Apples

  • 4 big Cortland apples

  • 1/2 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Crumbs

Directions

Prepare the Crumbs

1.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

Prepare the Apples

1.

Core the inside of the apple and cut off the very end top just to create a flat surface.

2.

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over the apples.

3.

Add one teaspoon of apricot jam inside of the apples, and spread some on the flat surface of the apples.

4.

Apply heavily crumbs on top of the apples.

5.

Cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 20 minutes, or until apples are soft.

6.

Optional: Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
