6 Cortland apples, peeled
2 cups rice krispies
1/2 cup Gefen Ground Almonds
3 tablespoons Haddar Brown Sugar
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Gefen Vanilla Sugar
oil, for coating
4 ounces butter
1 and 1/2 cups Haddar Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Gefen Vanilla Extract
16 ounces sour cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine rice krispies, ground almonds, and sugars.
Prepare two large plates. Place oil in one large plate and the rice krispy mix in the other. Dip the apple in oil and then coat with rice krispy mix.
Place apples on a lined baking sheet and bake uncovered for two hours.
Meanwhile, prepare the caramel sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan. Once melted, add brown sugar and vanilla and cook for one minute. Add the sour cream and mix until well combined and smooth.
