Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these avocado fries are a delight. They make a great side dish, but are even better served as a snack with some tomato salsa on the side.

Ingredients

Air Fryer Avocado Fries

  • 35 grams/1/4 cup plain/all-purpose flour, such as Glicks (gluten free if you wish)

  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli/chili powder

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 50 grams/heaped 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs, such as Gefen (gluten-free if you wish)

  • 1 avocado, skin and pit removed, and each half sliced lengthways

  • Haddar Salt

  • freshly ground black pepper

Directions

1.

Preheat the air-fryer to 200 degrees Celsius/400 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a bowl combine the flour and chilli/chili powder, then season with salt and pepper. Place the beaten egg in a second bowl and the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

Dip each avocado slice in the seasoned flour (shaking off any excess), then the egg and finally the breadcrumbs.

4.

Add the breaded avocado slices to the preheated air-fryer and air-fry for six minutes, turning after four minutes. Serve immediately.
