Are you traveling to a place with limited kosher options? Then you must get yourself the Betty Crocker Pizza Maker.
The Betty Crocker Pizza Maker is great for so much more than just pizza. It makes the perfect travel companion that’s capable of cooking things from stir-fry vegetables to rice! You can also use it to heat up frozen foods. It’s a little large, but not too heavy and very easy to use. Plug it in and wait until the green light goes on. The trays are non-stick, but we recommend using parchment paper when possible for an even easier clean up. To wash down the inside, let it cool down and simply scrub with a soft sponge and a little bit of soap, then wash out with a damp cloth.
Below are a variety of foods that have been tried on the Betty Crocker with cooking times and directions to make your cooking experience a breeze. Everything tastes delicious- you can try almost anything on this machine. A few other ideas include nachos, cookies, and Sloppy Joe’s. Use these ideas as a guide, and have fun experimenting while on vacation!

This vegetarian recipe is so comforting and really kicks ramen up a notch. Feel free to add your favorite cooked protein to it to really round out the meal.
2. Microwave or Betty Crocker Vodka Sauce Shakshuka by Sara and Yossi Goldstein
I love the little twist on classic shakshuka here using vodka sauce and Parmesan cheese instead of the usual tomato and feta. Of course the fresh herbs are optional, but I highly recommend them for a burst of freshness if you have access to them.
3. Betty Crocker Syrian Meat Pizza Flatbread by Sara and Yossi Goldstein
Syrian meat pizzas are a huge favorite over here. We love them with a side of hummus as an appetizer. Here, I decided to make a large flatbread-style meat pizza on pre-made pizza dough. You can use a premade crust or flatbread too, as long as it fits inside the pizza maker!
4. Betty Crocker Potato Kugel by Sara and Yossi Goldstein
Traveling for Shabbat? What’s Shabbat without potato kugel? This one takes a bit longer to cook than the other recipes on this list, but it is so worth the time! You can use whatever variety of potatoes you usually use for kugel! I used Yukon Gold, which is my go-to potato.
5. Betty Crocker Grilled Baby Chicken by Sara and Yossi Goldstein
I love lemon pepper seasoning! It pairs well with so many foods, and especially chicken. This recipe also works well for chicken on the bone made in the oven, for when you get back home! Who knew you could make so many different types of delicious foods in the Betty?
6. Betty Crocker Salmon Skewers by Sara and Yossi Goldstein
Who said you can’t be a little fancy, even when cooking on a Betty? These salmon cubes are the perfect appetizer for a Shabbat meal that you can even make when on vacation. They look great on a small bed of greens with your favorite ready-made dipping sauce on the side, or just as-is!

Both gluten-free and delicious, this pizza will disappear before you get the plates out.
13. Pizza
You can’t buy the Betty Crocker Pizza Maker without trying out how pizza cooks on it! (Plus it’s always a family favorite so be sure to make it for the family on vaca!)
Transfer parchment paper with pizza to the Betty Crocker. Close the lid and cook for 10-14 minutes.
