SAVORY

1. Seared Tuna with Tomato-Olive Relish by Faigy Murray

Until recently, for me, tuna meant the stuff that you get from a can and eat with a toasted bagel. And then I discovered fresh tuna. I don’t know why they’re both called tuna, as the taste and flavor are so different. This recipe for fresh tuna makes the perfect light and fresh dish.

2. Thousand Island Rotini Salad by Zehava Krohn

Because this pasta is so easy (don’t tell anyone what the ingredients really are!), I prepare it very often, sometimes for family simchos and shalosh seudos. We’re always left with an empty dish.

3. Creamy Garlic Spaghetti by Chana Stern

I’m always looking for new ways to prepare pasta, and with this recipe I’ve come across a winner. The scrumptious taste makes it ideal for hosting, and the minimal effort needed makes it perfect for a weeknight dinner.

4. Pesto-Inspired Gnocchi by Faigy Grossman

Classic pesto ingredients meld with delightfully chewy gnocchi to create this different and flavorful dish!

5. Mini Dairy Streusel Muffins by Brynie Greisman

I’ve been in the muffin business for 16 years, and my passion is developing new ideas and recipes, especially “healtherizing” old favorites. I purposely made these mini, so you can enjoy one guilt free, even with the decadent chocolate inside! They freeze beautifully too.

6. Lox Platter with Whitefish Salad and Chive-Dill Cream Cheese by Adina Schlass

Everyone needs a signature, and this one is mine. I’m all about aesthetics, and this is just one of those dishes you can serve that presents beautifully, with hardly any effort and zero cooking necessary. After slaving away making those homemade blintzes, we always need a few of these recipes!

7. French Onion Tomato Soup from the Dining In Cookbook

There are soup lovers who would give a fortune for this recipe. You don’t have to, so dig in and enjoy!

8. Lemon Pepper Salmon by Rorie Weisberg

Simple spices, thoughtfully measured and combined, bring out this salmon’s delectable flavor. It’s always nice to incorporate a fish at your dairy meal, but many fish recipes don’t complement dairy dishes. This one does! It’s my absolute go-to favorite, and the best part is that it’s super easy.

9. Mediterranean Fish Board (Perfect for Shavuot) by Adina Schlass

I love serving big fish boards for Sunday or Shabbat brunch! It offers such great variety and it’s perfect for serving a crowd, or even as a light appetizer or snack.

10. Summer Salad with Creamy Avocado Lime Dressing by Molly Hagler

The bright colors of this salad with the creamy avocado dressing bring all the feels of spring turning into summer.

11. Broccoli Slaw with Maple- Sour Cream Dressing by Miriam (Pascal) Cohen

Y’know that classic sweet broccoli salad that everyone has been making forever? I figured it’s time to update it! I used broccoli slaw to keep it new and exciting, and sour cream to make it dairy and decadent. Be forewarned: The flavors of this salad are so addictive that it might not actually yield six servings!

12. Cucumber Salad with Feta and Pita Chips by Victoria Dwek

Use up any leftover pita to make these quick pita chips, which is combined with some greens, grated feta and a simple dressing. This refreshing salad is so delicious and is a great addition to a dairy Seudat Shlishit or any dairy meal. Watch 4 Amazing Things for more great food with Victoria!

13. Lemon Butter Herbed Salmon by Naomi Nachman

14. Best-Ever Buttered Corn by Michal Frischman

I get it. Dairy anything seems excessively indulgent, especially dairy on vegetables. Why not just use cooking spray and save the calories, I mouth along with you. But trust me on this one, this is a hundred percent worth it. Start now and make this corn all summer until sweet August corn hits its peak deliciousness.

15. Skillet Lasagna with Mushrooms & Mozzarella by Nina Safar

While I love a hearty lasagna, I am far from thrilled at the thought of boiling noodles, having to assemble the dish, and then waiting for it to bake. When I think of a recipe, I like to strip it down to the essentials. What does it really need to taste good? Everything else is optional and depends on how much energy I have.

What I love about this recipe is that it has the familiar flavors of the classic, but without the fuss. I cooked my veggies, noodles, sauce and cheese all in one pot. No baking. No mess. This is the perfect weeknight dinner. Serve with a fresh garden salad and toasted garlic bread.

16. Spinach and Feta-stuffed Salmon by Esty Wolbe

This elegant salmon stuffed with feta and fresh spinach couldn’t be simpler to prepare. Watch Easy Does It with Esty Wolbe for more super simple recipes.

17. Salmon and Orzo Salad from the Dining In Cookbook

This pasta-fish salad is beautiful for any occasion, and we especially love it for a buffet!

18. Pasta Alfredo Light by Jamie Geller

My favorite pasta sauces are Alfredo and vodka, I even like them on zucchini noodles. I find it hard to choose between them and have been known to order both at restaurants. Hey, sometimes a girl just has to help herself! This lighter version of the classic Alfredo goes down just as smoothly as the original.

19. Caprese Pasta Salad by Esty Wolbe

20. Mediterranean Quinoa Salad by Nechama Norman

On one balmy summer day, as the women at Camp Mogen Av were sitting outside with the kids, Nancy K. and I shared a shady spot in the yard. We had a lot of talking to do…we both worked as personal chefs and both lived in Israel and used to love to go shopping in the shuk. As we exchanged ideas, the concept for this recipe arose. I remember the ideas we discussed, and as soon as camp ended and I was back in my kitchen, I whipped this up. It takes me back to the shuk, with the vibrant colored vegetables and Mediterranean spices.

21. Pizza Ravioli with Garlic White Sauce by Victoria Dwek

Want to serve a restaurant-quality pasta dish at a dairy Shavuos meal? Not everything needs to be prepared in advance, and that includes the dishes that take five minutes to prep and serve (just don’t tell anyone). Once you have the ravioli in your freezer, you don’t need anything else since the sauce uses staple ingredients (no heavy cream!); it can be prepared in a pinch any time at all.

22. Cauliflower and Butternut Squash “Risotto” (Gluten-Free) by Vera Newman

This amazing low carb “risotto” is made simple with Heaven & Earth Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash. Creamy, dairy, and delicious – perfect for Shavuot.

23. Lazy but Crispy Fish by Kim Kushner

I call this “lazy fish” because it’s the perfect recipe to make on a lazy day. You aren’t the only one who gets tired of cooking, trust me. This recipe has become a weekly staple in my household. Choose any thick-fleshed fish fillet you like, coat it with a simple crumb topping, and roast it for no more than several minutes. The golden crumbs include a mixture of cornflake crumbs, panko, lemon, and a hint of sun-dried tomato. This is definitely a crowd-pleaser. Serve it with a tossed salad and dinner is set. I love making this dish for a party because it doesn’t take long to prepare and everyone likes it. You can make the crumbs ahead of time and store them in the fridge, so they are set to go when you need them. Then pick up some fresh fish and you’re ready to roll.

24. Caprese Salad by Zeta Olive Oil

A Caprese salad platter is the perfect addition to your dairy dinner party. It can be assembled in minutes and is so tasty and refreshing.

25. Caesar Salad with Cheese Toasts by Nechama Norman

This is a great Caesar salad with a twist. If you have ever been in Israel long enough, you know what toast is: any regular sandwich toasted in a panini machine – hence the name toast. I once went out with a friend and tasted a salad similar to this. I wanted to come up with something equally delicious, relatively easy to throw together, and a little different in presentation. I used wraps instead of bread to make this component Mezonos, so that the salad is suitable anytime, not only for shalosh seudos.

26. Pizza-Pasta “Muffins” by Temi Philip

Muffins are so much fun to eat — even for dinner. Turning this pizza-style pasta dish into a muffin guarantees an instant hit.

27. Faked Ziti by Esty Wolbe

This is my Faked Ziti (“Baked Ziti”). There’s no draining and no baking and the easiest thing to make for dinner. It’s super quick and you can do it all with one hand, because when it’s supper-o’clock you’re probably doing something else with the other. Watch the video!

31. Personal Pesto Pasta by Sharon Matten

I am always rushing during the day and am lucky if I can put a healthy lunch together (cheese puffs are not considered a healthy lunch). I found that with pre-frozen herb cubes I can put together a super healthy lunch in under five minutes!! Awesome, right? The herbs are fresh frozen so they are packed with nutrients, and by adding a small amount of healthy olive oil and omega-3 packed walnuts you make your lunch even healthier.

32. Greek Chopped Salad with Noodles by Jamie Geller

I love a traditional Greek salad, but it is not filling enough on its own for a full meal, so I added noodles and now it’s lunch!!

A medley of fabulous flavors in the easiest fish dish ever! Don’t tell anyone what a cinch it is to make – just accept the raves with thanks and a smile.
