We’re bringing the joy and sweetness of Chanukah donuts right into Shabbat Chanukah with this glazed challah! A light powdered-sugar-based icing adds a touch of sweetness to each slice and a dusting of festive sprinkles is right on theme. Perfect for the kids and the kid in you!
Glazed Donut Challah
Ingredients:
2 challahs (without egg wash)
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup non-dairy milk
Sprinkles for decorating
Directions:
1. Once the challahs are completely cool, transfer them to a wire cooling rack with a piece of parchment paper underneath to catch all the excess icing.
2. Whisk together the powdered sugar and non-dairy milk until combined. Pour icing over the challah and immediately decorate with sprinkles before it hardens.
3. Repeat with the second challah. If you’re running out of icing, use the extra icing that pooled underneath the cooling rack. Decorate the second challah and allow it to harden. Slice and enjoy!!
