I wanted to take my kids somewhere fun today. But alas, nothing was open! So we settled on doing a Wal-Mart run where we got new games and puzzles. (Was it not just Chanukah?? It was just for the sake of an outing.) You know how it is this time of year; people are especially cheery, and New Years wishes filled the air.
While most of the world is celebrating the New Year, it’s hard not to get caught up in January 1st healthy eating fever. (The produce section at my grocery was undeniably fuller…I think!)
My philosophy is to embrace it. Exciting healthy food trends, jazzing up salads with unusual ingredients like pea shoots, trying out an unbelievable new soup recipe or bright dressing. It’s really never a bad time to give yourself something fresh and new!
Happy cooking!
