Street Kitchen, possibly the best chef-driven kosher restaurant in Florida, is a must-visit. This smallish restaurant, located in the heart of the kosher Surfside strip, is renowned for its innovative take on kosher cuisine, blending traditional flavors with contemporary culinary techniques.

Street Kitchen offers a modern, chic ambiance that is both inviting and sophisticated. The decor features sleek lines, warm lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The service is consistently praised for being attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.

Chef David Benrey, former executive chef of Surfside’s Harbour Bistro down the block, is the culinary mastermind behind Street Kitchen. His vision and culinary team allow the “birds, fish, meat, and beer” to shine, regardless of what you order.

The menu at Street Kitchen is a testament to the chef’s culinary creativity. One of their standout dishes is the short rib tacos, which combine tender, flavorful beef with a delightful mix of spices and fresh ingredients. Chicken & Waffles are a must. Another popular choice is the truffle fries, offering a decadent twist on a classic side. For those looking for a lighter option, the beet salad, with its vibrant colors and refreshing taste, is a hit among regulars. Their burgers may be among the best in Florida.

The restaurant also prides itself on its diverse menu. From succulent meat dishes to innovative vegetarian options, there’s something for everyone at Street Kitchen. A testament to that: at our earliest visit back in 2021, my 6-year-old scarfed down the lamb chops, and I didn’t blame him; they were delicious.

Street Kitchen has quickly become a staple both in the greater Miami kosher community and for visitors alike, frequently mentioned in top kosher restaurant lists, including on YeahThatsKosher’s annual top restaurants in South Florida list and others. In the foodie WhatsApp groups I’m in or host, it is singlehandedly the most recommended kosher restaurant for those traveling to Miami.
